An evening with Helen Pankhurst: A pre-Sylvia musical event

We’re collaborating with Centenary Action, Hip Pop and Raising The Glass for a special evening with our convenor Helen Pankhurst CBE, taking place on Tuesday 20th October from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at The Bonded Warehouse in Manchester ahead of the Sylvia musical from 7.30pm at The Lowry in Salford.
The evening is being brought together with the support of our lead partner and sponsor, Hip Pop, who’ll be providing the drinks, and Raising The Glass, who’ll be hosting the event and convening the conversation. Together, they’re helping us create an informal and engaging space to hear from Helen, connect with others and reflect on sustaining the momentum for women’s empowerment and advocacy.

Join us for a live conversation with Helen Pankhurst – women's rights activist, campaigner, great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst and granddaughter of Sylvia Pankhurst – exploring the name she was born into, the work she’s built and what it’ll take to close the gap as we approach 2028, the centenary of equal franchise.
Continuing the evening with the Sylvia musical
‘An evening with Helen Pankhurst’ is a standalone event. The Eventbrite ticket does not include a ticket to the Sylvia musical at The Lowry.
Those who choose to continue into the evening by attending our group visit to see Sylvia will make their own way from The Bonded Warehouse to The Lowry at Salford Quays. Sylvia tickets must be purchased separately through the theatre.

There’s also a very limited time remaining to enter our Sylvia prize draw, with the chance to win two tickets (worth £54 each) to the show on Tuesday 20th October, for the cost of just £5 per entry.
The draw closes on 30th September, so make sure you enter before the deadline.
Supporting work towards 2028
Every penny raised from ‘An evening with Helen Pankhurst’ will go to GM4Women2028 and Centenary Action, supporting the work of two organisations campaigning for greater equality and political representation, and both convened by Helen herself.
We’re grateful to Hip Pop and Raising The Glass for helping make the evening possible – from the drinks and hospitality to hosting and convening. Their support means the event can bring people together in a relaxed setting while keeping the focus on the issues that matter.
