GM4Women is bringing its inspiring and impactful ‘Dialogue, Deeds & Determination’ series to Bolton on Saturday 12th July 2025, uniting women, girls and male allies to accelerate progress on gender equality across Greater Manchester.
The upcoming event, the latest in a powerful sequence of events that use data to drive positive change, will focus on translating insight into action – thereby helping to build a safer, more equal Greater Manchester for women and girls.
Taking place from 10.30am to 4.00pm at Imagination Street in Bolton, the day will consist of lively discussions on equality, breakout groups on key thematic topics, dynamic performances by local artists and meaningful networking – positioning it as a pivotal moment in GM4Women’s ongoing campaign for gender equity.
Helen Pankhurst CBE, Convenor of GM4Women and descendant of suffragettes Emmeline and Sylvia Pankhurst, will deliver a welcome speech and host a plenary session on diversity in democracy with panel members comprising Kirith Entwistle MP and Councillor Hanif Alli.
Helen says, “Our ‘Dialogue, Deeds & Determination’ events are about more than talking, they’re about acting upon what the data tells us, keeping the momentum going in our quest to gender equality, and ensuring the lives of women and girls throughout Greater Manchester improve for the better. I’m excited to bring this energy to Bolton, where community spirit, determination to make change and friendly atmosphere are strong.”
Attendees will hear highlights from GM4Women’s ‘Half-Way There’ report, engage in crucial conversations on women’s safety, health and political representation, and take part in interactive workshops. The day will also feature vibrant performances and an opportunity to explore stalls hosted by local charities, campaigners and community groups championing gender equality.
Bolton North East MP Kirith Entwistle adds: “I’m really pleased to welcome GM4Women to Bolton. This event demonstrates how we can all contribute to an equal and inclusive Greater Manchester, beginning in our own community. I’m excited to bring passionate, influential and political voices from Bolton together to join the charity’s push for a more equitable future for all. Boltonians and others from further afield have a chance to make their voices heard, share their experiences and collaborat
e on solutions that will truly make a difference.”
