Your February edition of Equality Brew is here, spotlighting action, ideas and impact across Greater Manchester in the push for gender equality by 2028. As the year gathers pace, this month’s brew reflects a growing sense of focus and determination across our movement.

Make a Difference Community Awards – Happening on Friday 13th March, 10.00am to 2.00pm, at Loft Social in Stockport, Make a Difference's award ceremony recognises women who've done incredible community work at a grassroots level. Together Against The Far Right march – In London on Saturday 28th March, you’re invited to participate in a national demonstration aimed at bringing together communities in love, hope and unity and against the far right – to reject narratives of division and racism. Find out more.
👩🏻🏫 Free training on women and gambling-related harms from GamCare
GamCare is the leading provider of information and support for those affected by gambling harm, either through their own gambling or someone else's. Its Women's Pathway Programme offers free online training for practitioners working directly with women to feel more confident in identifying gambling-related harms, as well as knowing how to respond and signpost for support.
Current training offers include:

Women, Domestic Abuse and Gambling-Related Harms CPD- accredited training (2 hours)
Exploring Lived Experience of Gambling-Related Harms (1 hour)

📱 VoiceIn health research mobile app
A new mobile app, called VoiceIn, has been designed to make it easier for people to add their voice to health research. It's co-designed with and by young people, and allows you to contribute to research ideas in a quick and simple way.
With the VoiceIn app you can:
Discover studies that match your personal health interests
Shape the future of health research and amplify your voice
Provide quick feedback on research ideas and have your say
Get notifications and stay updated on ongoing projects
The mobile app is free and available to everybody aged 16+ and based in the UK on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
VoiceIn is led by the University of Manchester, funded by the UKRI Medical Research Council and NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester.

❤️ Supporting women to build confidence, wellbeing and hope by Feel Good Futures CIC
Feel Good Futures CIC is a new Stockport-based Community Interest Company (CIC) supporting women across Greater Manchester to feel better about their futures. Founded by Paul Cosgrove and Emma Hurt, the CIC builds on nearly a decade of education and community work through Feel Good Futures Training, recognising that qualifications alone are not always enough without confidence, wellbeing and meaningful support.
The service offers a holistic mix of skills training, pastoral and career support, including mental health triage, employment coaching, wellbeing activities, practical support and community connections. At its heart is a safe, trauma-aware space where women are supported as whole people – whether they're returning to education, changing direction or rebuilding after a difficult period – so they can move forward with dignity, opportunity and a future that genuinely feels good.
