Welcome back to your monthly round-up of all things gender equality across Greater Manchester.
Since launching in September, we’ve loved seeing this blog grow into a space where our community connects, reflects and celebrates progress together. From inspiring local campaigns to thought-provoking events, the stories we share each month remind us that change happens when voices come together – and demonstrates that momentum is definitely building.
This November, we’re bringing you another blend of updates, opportunities and ideas from across the city region. Whether you’re looking to get involved, attend an event or simply stay in the know, we’ve brewed up something for everyone.
So, top up your mug, take a moment for yourself and catch up on what’s happening in this month’s edition of Equality Brew.
📢 What we’ve been talking about

👀 What’s caught our attention
The biggest headlines and announcements we’ve spotted recently include:
Manchester running group, MileShyClub, are huge supporters of This Girl Can’s ‘Let’s Lift The Curfew’ campaign which raises awareness of women running or walking alone after dark. Many women report how vulnerable or unsafe they feel during darker nights and how this fear impacts their exercise routines. As every woman has the right to feel safe to exercise at any time of the day or night, lone female runners can join to experience how exercising with a club after dark feels so much safer. Read about MileShyClub.
