It’s been a busy two weeks since we announced the 'Seeing Us' campaign as part of our work seeking to drive equality within Greater Manchester’s cultural industries.
We’re meeting volunteers who want to get involved in the activity, organisations that want to share their learnings (and want to do more) and we’ve put two sessions in the diary to look through never-before-seen boxes within Lancashire Archives held in Bolton at the University. We’ll be looking for representation of women - and particularly of working-class women in articles, images, electoral rolls and whatever else we find as we explore the archives which contain information from throughout Greater Manchester.
Join co-leads Amina Ali and Sarah Galligan on Friday 10th Oct or Friday 24th October - full information on the links below. Amina will be leading and we’ll support in how we are auditing the data.
